LIES AND DECEPTION

This year alone, Canada has lost over 200,000 jobs, largely due to the adverse effects of NAFTA or the North American Free Trade Agreement. It's been the principal mechanism for enabling U.S. corporations to destroy Canada's social, political, and economic independence from the Bush administration’s political-military-industrial complex. The Liberal and Conservative governments were both instrumental in supporting and advancing this so-called "free trade".

There was much uncertainty within the Canadian public and the media regarding why a federal election was called before the end of Harper’s mandate, especially when he broke his own regulation on early elections. It was clearly evident to all but the political comatose that the main reason was simply to retain power for another five years before the economy as well as his popularity inevitably worsened. He obviously got a call from his handlers informing him of the impending crash and the economic chaos it would result in.

Naturally, before and during the election campaign, everything was coming up roses in the eyes of Harper and his quislings. Canadians had a "sound dollar" and "good monetary conditions" thanks to the competent fiscal policy of the Conservatives.

I guess the government’s crystal ball must have had a foggy spell because now all you hear from them is talk of "recession", "emergency plans" and "deficit spending". The Finance Minister even foretells of precisely what year this economic downturn will end and what it’s going to cost. Harper made the statement that we could be in worse shape then the Great Depression. How quickly a nation's fortunes can change!

Nothing has changed in the underworld of Stephen Harper since 1997 when he made a statement that demonstrates the disdain and total disregard he holds for the average Canadian. Speaking to an elitist crowd at The Council for National Policy he remarked, "If you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country… which makes you probably knowledgeable about one more country than most Canadians".

If we lacked intellect about anything, it surely was how badly the Commandant and his gang of racketeers would malign and mismanage the nation’s affairs.

A call from President Bush was all that was needed to take Canada into an illegal war that has cost thousands of lives and the destruction of a people’s homeland. For those who voted for Harper and his pack of lick spittles, remember that when the next “fallen” (read: “murdered”) Canadian soldier comes home draped in a flag, it was your X that helped put him there.

WAR CRIMES

The only thing worse than having to listen to the ominous and mournful sound of the bagpipes is Harper’s disingenuous homage he pays the dead soldiers for their "sacrifice".

Seeing as Afghanistan never threatened Canada or the US for that matter -- and the illegal invasion of the country was built on lies and treachery by the Bush administration -- just what “sacrifice” do you think he might be referring to? Would it be for the interests of the global plutocrats whom he serves, or the arms industry who profit immensely from warfare and death?

Maybe Harper was alluding to the poppy production in Afghanistan which has increased 80% since the invasion five years ago and continues unabated. If you thought we went there with the plan to eradicate the crops, better think again. The UN reports that production increased by 300 tonnes in one year with Afghanistan now supplying over 90% of the world's heroin market.

If you connect the dots between the Bush administration, the military complex, the Afghan puppet regime and the pharmaceutical cartels, it's painfully obvious that it’s not a group of rebels or the lowly farmers raking in the billions from the sale of this illegal narcotic. It gives a whole new meaning to the term, "War on Drugs".

LEST WE FORGET

"Lest we forget" how Harper conspired with the Bush regime to needlessly sacrifice the lives of Canadians, Americans and Afghans -- under the pretense of rebuilding a foreign nation and fighting terrorism. The witless, corporate-controlled media have long forgotten about the thousands of innocent civilians killed or injured in this devastating war.

Nor should Canadians forget about Harper’s premeditated and vicious assault on citizens invested in income trusts. Harper started his election campaign with the promise he'd never allow retirement funds to be raided by taxing income trusts. He knew well in advance of his promise what the Telus and Bell syndicates were up to but lied shamelessly and desperately for your vote. How can a man who so vehemently took the Liberals to task for their underhanded ploy, commit the same indecency and then try and tell Canadians his actions are different? How stupid does this corrupt Neo-Con think Canadians are?

Just as Bush does, Harper enjoys an unholy alliance with Israel’s Zionist faction. While the Israeli government continues its siege on the Palestinians, continually breaking the rules and displaying total disregard for the Geneva convention, Harper kowtows to Israel, siding with them at every opportunity. It should be clear to all who have read the other articles posted here, who is really pulling the strings of puppets like Harper and Bush.

Concerned Jewish Canadians Demand that the Siege on Gaza be Broken.

The Alliance of Concerned Jewish Canadians (ACJC) is a pan-Canadian umbrella of Jewish anti-Occupation groups. We wish to join Palestinian Canadian and other concerned Canadians in expressing our outrage at the siege of the Gaza Strip. Gaza City was plunged into darkness this past month after Israel blocked the shipment of fuel that powers its only electrical plant. 1.5 million Palestinians civilians who live in Gaza are besieged and are suffering from severe food, medicine and life essentials, shortages imposed on them by the inhumane Israel aggression. Israel, which occupies the Palestinian territories, is starving and killing Palestinians in hopes of forcing them into submission and into accepting its illegal occupation and to forgo the right of return.

We the Alliance of Concerned Jewish Canadians (ACJC) join the Palestinian Canadian community in demanding that the Canadian government, politicians, and MPs:

1. Condemn the latest Israel aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza.

2. Demand an immediate halt to all Israeli brutal use of military force against the Palestinians which is taking a serious humanitarian toll on civilians.

3. Lift the blockade on the Palestinian people and allow all living essentials, food, medicine and energy to enter the territories without any delay.

4. Allow an independent international tribunal to enter the Palestinian territories to investigate Israel’s war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

5. Call upon the international community and Canada in particular to act immediately to stop these crimes.

6. Call upon the international community and Canada in particular to renew the call to the High Contracting Parties of the Fourth Geneva Convention to fulfill their responsibility under Article 1 of the Convention, to ensure that it is respected under all circumstances, and their responsibility under Article 146 to pursue persons suspected of perpetrating serious violations of the convention. We affirm that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) violations are considered war crimes under Article 147 of the Convention and under its first protocol.

We ask MPs and other elected representatives to join the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and international human rights groups who have warned that the blockade will cause a health catastrophe, will drastically affect hospitals, sewage treatment and water facilities and to condemn the Israel government actions and force it to lift these inhumane measures which defy basic humanitarian standards.

A Human Rights Crime

The world is witnessing a terrible human rights crime in Gaza, where a million and a half human beings are being imprisoned with almost no access to the outside world. An entire population is being brutally punished.

This gross mistreatment of the Palestinians in Gaza was escalated dramatically by Israel, with United States backing, after political candidates representing Hamas won a majority of seats in the Palestinian Authority parliament in 2006. The election was unanimously judged to be honest and fair by all international observers.

Israel and the US refused to accept the right of Palestinians to form a unity government with Hamas and Fatah and now, after internal strife, Hamas alone controls Gaza. Forty-one of the 43 victorious Hamas candidates who lived in the West Bank have been imprisoned by Israel, plus an additional 10 who assumed positions in the short-lived coalition cabinet.

Regardless of one's choice in the partisan struggle between Fatah and Hamas within occupied Palestine, we must remember that economic sanctions and restrictions on the supply of water, food, electricity and fuel are causing extreme hardship among the innocent people in Gaza, about one million of whom are refugees.

Israeli bombs and missiles periodically strike the area, causing high casualties among both militants and innocent women and children. Prior to the highly publicised killing of a woman and her four children last week, this pattern had been illustrated by a report from B'Tselem, the leading Israeli human rights organisation, which stated that 106 Palestinians were killed between February 27 and March 3. Fifty-four of them were civilians, and 25 were under 18 years of age.

On a recent trip through the Middle East, I attempted to gain a better understanding of the crisis. One of my visits was to Sderot, a community of about 20,000 in southern Israel that is frequently struck by rockets fired from nearby Gaza. I condemned these attacks as abominable acts of terrorism, since most of the 13 victims during the past seven years have been non-combatants.

Subsequently, I met with leaders of Hamas - a delegation from Gaza and the top officials in Damascus. I made the same condemnation to them, and urged that they declare a unilateral ceasefire or orchestrate with Israel a mutual agreement to terminate all military action in and around Gaza for an extended period.

They responded that such action by them in the past had not been reciprocated, and they reminded me that Hamas had previously insisted on a ceasefire throughout Palestine, including Gaza and the West Bank, which Israel had refused. Hamas then made a public proposal of a mutual ceasefire restricted to Gaza, which the Israelis also rejected.

There are fervent arguments heard on both sides concerning blame for a lack of peace in the Holy Land. Israel has occupied and colonised the Palestinian West Bank, which is approximately a quarter the size of the nation of Israel as recognised by the international community. Some Israeli religious factions claim a right to the land on both sides of the Jordan river, others that their 205 settlements of some 500,000 people are necessary for "security".

All Arab nations have agreed to recognise Israel fully if it will comply with key United Nations resolutions. Hamas has agreed to accept any negotiated peace settlement between the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, and Israel's prime minister, Ehud Olmert, provided it is approved in a referendum of the Palestinian people.

This holds promise of progress, but despite the brief fanfare and positive statements at the peace conference last November in Annapolis, the process has gone backwards. Nine thousand new Israeli housing units have been announced in Palestine; the number of roadblocks within the West Bank has increased; and the stranglehold on Gaza has been tightened.

It is one thing for other leaders to defer to the US in the crucial peace negotiations, but the world must not stand idle while innocent people are treated cruelly. It is time for strong voices in Europe, the US, Israel and elsewhere to speak out and condemn the human rights tragedy that has befallen the Palestinian people.

I wanted to call this, "Why I am an anti-semite." It is telling, indeed, that even I finally knuckled under and chose a less sensational title.

The silence in America concerning Jews is simply deafening, isn't it? The old adage has it that, when visiting a foreign country, to ascertain who really runs things, one need determine only who is spoken about in whispers, if at all.

Never unwilling to offend, I would like to talk about Jews today. And not in whispers, either. This piece will be longer than most I write, even though I will only be skimming the field. A good deal of ground must be covered, else the true picture does not emerge.

What gets lost in all the sabre rattling and bellicosity concerning Iraq is the WHY of the impending war. Because the Iraqis "hate our freedom?" No, of course not. It's non-sensical to believe anybody hates freedom. Because they are too evil to exist? Come on. Because they have used awful weapons, still possess them and will use them again? Give me a break - on the basis of that rationale, we should be marching on every member of NATO.

The Muslims are right, you know. This is a war against Islam, pure and simple. Not Christianity vs. Islam. Not the West vs. Islam. Not America vs. Islam. This is a war between Judaism and Islam. Palestine writ large. Not a religious war, either, despite the rhetoric of the Arabs. It is a racial war and Americans are the cannon fodder.

"But Israel is our friend," you say, "The best friend we have in that hostile quarter of the world." Our only friend, more like it. Israel is our friend so long as we serve its purposes. Indeed, "friend" is too kind a word. "Svengali" is more like it. Proof abounds of Israel acting against America's interests at every turn, many of which we will review below. No, Israel does not run America, but the shadowy cartel that does run America is solidly behind Israel. Israel is that cartel's mistress, America its dowdy wife. No, not every member of that cartel is Jewish, but so many are that it might as well be exclusive.

There was a time, in the not-too-distant past, when I thought that jewishness was religious and cultural, possibly racial, too - but so what? After all, American Jews are generally well off, well educated, well spoken, a little clannish and well connected. Just like you and me, only better dressed and with trust funds - like rich Mormons, maybe. It is an outlook shared by most Americans. It is wrong. This common misperception will prove fatal to America, just as it has to so many nations down through time.

This is where I am supposed to utter the obligatory, "I'm not anti-semitic, I'm really just anti-zionist." That is a cop-out and I refuse to do it, even though strictly true. I am appalled that all Jews allow the Zionists among them to fall back into their ranks, hiding behind their jewishness, while hurling charges of anti-semitism at those they dislike - and their fellow jews don't say a word about it. In the law, we call that a conspiracy and we lock up the co-conspirators just like the perps. Ok, I'll play. I'm anti-semitic. So what? Do you really blame me, after all that you have done to me, my family and my country - nay, the world?

Let's get the terms straight. Joe Sobran really is right on the money regarding "anti-semite," first of all. Ultimately an anti-semite is whatever a Jew says - whoever a Jew dislikes - and, ultimately, Jews seem to dislike everybody else. In fact, I have seen Jews acknowledge that everybody who isn't a Jew is, by definition, anti-semitic. Kind of like the rationale underlying hate crime laws, which are only applied against white people, because all white people are deemed racist, per se.

"Jew." It's a race, not a religion. Facts are facts. The majority of Israelis are atheist. At this moment, Jews are doggedly trying to craft a deadly virus that will select people, such as Arabs, for their DNA differences from Jewish DNA.

"Zionist." Used to mean those who worked toward the establishment of a Jewish homeland. Now it means Jewish supremacist, pure and simple. Kind of like white supremacist, only kosher. Zionists are the real problem and they are found among the ranks of Jews everywhere. They are the ones that always cross the line and get the whole lot of them thrown out of a country. You don't believe this? Ok, then you offer a single logical reason why it has happened, time and again, in all the European countries. Zionism is racism of the first order.

Yes, Jews do get persecuted. What gets overlooked is the reason. Kind of like focusing on the rights of the murderer and not his victim. No, not "kind of." That's exactly what it is. "Oy! Foist Egypt, den Germany, now here. Vhy are dey poisecuting us so?" Trust me, they know precisely why.

Generally, it appears to me that someone has to have had a trigger event of some sort happen to themselves or someone close to them before that person is willing to see Jews as predatory. A trigger event wherein a Jew played the role of the victimizer. Like how being raped will make any woman a rabid defender of the Second Amendment. Without a trigger event, people generally are willing to dismiss those who speak out as being nuts, racists and white supremacists. Like saying the raped woman was asking for it, that's how that treatment feels, believe me.

My trigger event was actually two. First, when a lawyer that I hired, hoping that he would work hard and eventually take over my thriving San Francisco law practice, allowing me to retire, tried to steal all my firm's clients, work in progress and employees, leaving me with nothing, this after only a couple months on the job. Jewish, of course. Most lawyers are, you know. Though the sledding was tough with this guy, due to the Jewish judges, eventually I eviscerated him financially - with the help of a black judge, at that.

Second, and this was the really key event, when my children received death threats from a Jewish telephone caller - merely because I had dared to represent Richard Butler and the Aryan Nations against a set of false charges. There have been lots of other events since then, but I will never forget the look in my little girl's tear-filled eyes as she told me about the woman who was going to kill her. Watching one's family butchered will make a terrorist of anyone, just ask the Palestinians. Similarly, watching your family terrorized by Zionists will make you anti-semitic, take it from me.

The trigger event serves as a sort of personalized wake up call. Once awake, the evidence of what is being done to America and the world becomes apparent. None so blind as those who will not see, and all that. And that evidence is everywhere.

Supposedly, Jews account for 2-1/2 per cent of the American population. Why, then, is half the student body at Harvard and most every Ivy League college Jewish? Statistics simply are not kept as to the percentage of Jews in this profession or that, but when was the last time you saw a doctor whose name did not end in "berg," "man" or "stein?" I'm not sure I have ever met a psychiatrist who wasn't Jewish. On the other hand, have you ever seen a Jewish farmer or mechanic?

Rarely do I appear in court, but what the guy on the other side of the courtroom - and often as not, the judge, too - is Jewish. And, it is incredible the deference paid by the bench to the Jewish DA, or whoever, sitting at the other counsel table. There has been more than one trial where I could have merely phoned in my participation, for all the good it mattered that I was even there.

So many complain about what bankers, especially the international and central bankers, are doing to our country. Yet, hardly anybody seems to have noticed that those people are almost exclusively Jewish.

They are everywhere in the media, particularly Hollywood. Talking heads, movie stars and the like. Curly hair, hook nose and names that rhyme. Pay attention and you will be amazed. The names won't always be a good guideline, however, given how many changed their names at the turn of the last century, so as to meld into the American population of that time.

Jews seem to comprise about 50% of America's population, based upon those in visible positions. Looks can be deceiving, though, because, like Harvard, they are drawn to those positions by their money, their intelligence and, most importantly, the indulgence of their kosher comrades.

People refuse to notice the jewish hands on virtually ever power lever in the US federal government. Or at the helm of virtually every media organization that exists, and throughout the executive and editorial ranks. And, it's not just Jews that control America - they are Zionists. Even Ariel Sharon, Israel's current Prime Minister, has said openly, "Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." (October 3, 2001). Problem is, most of us seem not to know it.

Books have been written on the subject, but, essentially, a group of late 19th-century elites, comprised of Rockefeller, Morgan and others, mostly jewish, established an organization designed to consolidate their control of America and, eventually, the entire world. It was called the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Offshoots, such as the Bilderbergers, have formed since then, but the objective has never slipped from their sight.

One of the first acts of CFR's members was to survey the newspaper field, the sole mass media of the time, and conclude that purchasing control of only 25 major newspapers would give them effective control of news dissemination. They bought those papers and, since then, many, many more. Today, members of these shadowy organizations literally run virtually all of the media, control the political structure in America, much of world business and are firmly in control of world banking.

That is why the two political parties in America have become identical, so as to provide us rubes with the illusion of throwing the rascals out come election time, yet with the same old agenda not missing a beat. Did you really see a difference from Bush to Clinton to Bush? They knew what NAFTA would do to America's manufacturing base and job structure, yet both parties embraced it. We are firmly on a path to one-world government. America writ large, but the America now being molded without individual civil rights, not the America of the 20th Century. And it's largely kosher.

It is not the purpose of this essay to prove Jewish control of America. There is ample material available on the internet for those who wish to prove it for themselves. Rather, it is my purpose to show that there are perfectly valid and understandable, even laudable, reasons for being anti-semitic. Resenting those who manipulate us on a daily basis, against our own best interests, is primary among them.

2-1/2% Jews versus 70% Caucasian (used to be 95%, not too long ago), yet they set the agenda domestically and internationally. Why else do you think we are even in the Middle East? The oil is the excuse that allows us cynically to stop and look no deeper. Notice the extreme difference between US policy in the Middle East versus elsewhere, exemplified by the fact that we are invading and destroying Iraq, a country with nothing, while we give a pass to North Korea, a country which just threatened to nuke America.

And it is not enough that Zionists control America. They have to reshape it to suit themselves.

Virtually every recent case that involves the removal of Christian symbols from society is brought and/or prosecuted by a Jew, usually with a Jewish judge presiding. For the sake of the feelings of 2-1/2%, all the rest of us must yield our cultural heritage. Removing "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. Taking down plaques of the Ten Commandments. Removing crosses from public venues. Erecting menorahs in public venues. Taking Christ out of Christmas, first, then Christmas out of the year-end holidays altogether.

Hate laws are a singularly Jewish invention being foisted upon an unsuspecting public, so as to preemptively remove the possibility of criticism of themselves. Often written by the ADL, the organization that lobbies for their adoption, state by state, the laws are designed to stifle dissent and speaking out. Even now, the ADL seeks to broaden their sweep to include Holocaust revisionism, as has occurred in Canada and most of Europe, where many people sit in jail for publicly stating true facts about the so-called Holocaust that Jews simply do not want publicized.

America's borders are kept wide open to a flood of illegal immigrants, purposely, apparently to dilute the population (why else?), thereby making us more easily controlled. Yet, there is a furious struggle to expel those who criticize jews, such as is taking place with Ernst Zundel at this very moment. Contrast this policy imposed upon America with the extremely closed society of Israel, which is reserved solely for jews.

The money that Israel has cost us, facilitated by their jewish brethren, is nothing short of breathtaking. "Policy in the Middle East has been very costly to the US, as well as to the rest of world. The cost to the US of its policies in the region has accumulated to over $ 2,500 billion, an amount greater than the cost of the Vietnam war...About two-thirds of those costs – circa $1,600 billion – arose from the US defense of Israel since 1973...Since 1973, however, protection of Israel and subsidies to countries such as Egypt and Jordan, willing to sign peace treaties with Israel, has been the prime driver of US outlays or the trigger for crisis costs."

$2,500 billion, or $2.5 trillion. Boggles the mind, doesn't it? Lessee now, America has a population of 290 million and about 80 million households, so that amounts to $31,250 from your family to Israel. And that doesn't include some other items which could easily double that figure, as demonstrated by Dr. Stauffer as he continues:

"Rescue of Israel in 1973 by President Nixon cost the US almost $900 billion in lost GDP, resulting from the Arab oil embargo, and higher oil import costs...Worsening political relations resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of US jobs...Hundreds of billions additionally were spent on “Project Independence”, ostensibly to emancipate the US from reliance upon ME oil. The projects were largely co-opted by domestic lobbies of diverse colorations, and little imported oil was actually displaced."

What is ironic, if not pathetic, is that an incredible amount of our own tax dollars, given to Israel, come back in the form of campaign contributions to American politicians, funneled through American jewish hands and foundations, making Israeli/jewish interests the single largest lobby in Washington, DC. Any politician that dares vote or speak against Zionist interests faces a withering campaign at election time, ultimately funded by the country's own taxpayers, in the main. Now you see why Sharon's statement about controlling the US is true, quite aside from the considerable direct control exercised by American jews.

And Zionists will do anything to advance their own interests. The 1967 extended attempt to sink the USS Liberty in international waters off the coast of Gaza, for example, killing 37 US sailors and injuring another 174. It is unclear whether the Israelis were attempting to eliminate witnesses to atrocities they were committing during the "Six-Days War" or attempting to create their own Reichstag event by blaming Egypt for sinking the Liberty with all hands. False flag operations are particularly favorite Israeli ploys, however, so as to curry support.

And, there are far too many problems with the official 9-ll story. The only real question is whether the US or Israel was really behind it. John Kaminski sums up a number of them eloquently in "Billions are wondering why".

"Few people are raising questions about the obviously false statements we have been told about 9/11? Why did it take 28 minutes for flight controllers to notify NORAD two planes had been hijacked when the average time to do so in such a case is 3 minutes? Why were fighters scrambled from a base 180 miles away when seven other bases had fighter jets ready that could have done the job in a fraction of the time? Why was FEMA in New York the night before the crashes? Why did those fires at the base of the towers burn for 100 days? Why did Bush read a book for a half hour when he knew two planes had hit and two more were hijacked? Why was the bin Ladin family flown out of the country when all flights were grounded? Why did the FBI chief say we had no warning this was coming and everybody else in the FBI say we had plenty of warning? Who did make the billions of dollars from all those put options on two airlines the day before the attacks? These are only a fraction of the question the government continues to cover up, as several billions of people know."

Even Mr. Kaminski stays away from the obvious jewish involvement, however. Not a mention of the Israeli "art students" caught celebrating on a rooftop nearby while they photographed the ghastly spectacle. Nor of all the missing Israeli executives and workers that day, people who otherwise would have died. Nor of the two-hour advance warning provided to the employees at Odigo in the building (a jewish telephone firm). Nor of many other indicators of Israeli involvement.

In particular, hardly anybody wants to discuss who benefited from 9-11. The Afghanis? Yeah, right. Al Qaeda? Not a chance. Iraq? Sure. What country was plummeting in world, especially American, opinion at the time, whose fortunes in that regard turned around 180 degrees overnight? Israel, of course.

And we haven't even discussed what Israel has done to the hapless Palestinians, or what they are about to do, just as soon as we are distracted by Baghdad II.

As if the provisions of Patriot Acts I and II, whereby Americans can be jailed without hearings, stripped of their citizenship and deported for "further processing," aren't enough, recently, Israeli hit squads were given the go ahead to roam the entire world, including America, all the better to protect Israel's interests.

Yes, there are an abundance of reasons to be offended by Israelis, zionists and, even, the jews who provide cover for their brethren. Most people deny the existence of most of those reasons, and ignore the rest, until they suffer their own "trigger event."

Every time I talk about Zionists, or Jews, or Israel, I come under an incredible assault on my web site and my email servers, some from Lebanon, where Israel maintains internet servers, and even more from American jews. False claims to my ISPs, in an attempt to get me shut up. Viruses...you wouldn't believe how many. And hate speech! You haven't seen hate speech until you have seen what righteously indignant Jews can deliver. If you could just see what will be happening on my computer in the coming week, that alone likely would make you a believer.

But, it is important that these things be said. Out loud, not in whispers. People have to wake up. It is almost too late. You see, they are on the verge of adapting the Hate Crime laws to outlaw such discussions altogether.

The Truth About Hate Speech

This article relates to the efforts to conceal the Israeli spy scandal, the largest spy ring ever uncovered in the United States, behind cries of "hate" and "anti-Semite". No one should lay blame on all the Jewish people for the crimes of the Israeli government and the Mossad any more than holding all Americans accountable for the crimes of the United States Government and the CIA. Israel's supporters constantly spin any criticism of Israel's actions as hate against the Jewish people. Indeed so desperate are Israel's supporters to dismiss criticism of Israel while being unable to refute the actual facts that they have taken to describing Jewish critics of Israel as "self-hating Jews."

The current focus on the Israeli spy ring is about crimes committed against our nation by a foreign government, plain and simple, and whether one opposes those crimes or is accessory to those crimes by seeking to conceal them. There can be a no more dangerous path than for our government, our media, and our citizens than to ignore the presence of the largest spy ring ever uncovered within our nation simply because it is connected with a "protected" nation presumed to be above reproach or criticism.

In the wake of the revelation of yet another spy scandal involving the Mossad, involving the arrests of the largest spy ring ever uncovered inside the United States, and the existence of a huge system that allowed Israel to track telephone calls by media, politicians, law enforcement, indeed all Americans, as well as the means to eavesdrop on actual calls by using the wiretapping system built into the telephone system by an Israeli owned company, any and all reports of this scandal have been met with the charges of "hate speech" and "anti-Semite". Recent weeks have seen supporters of the self-proclaimed Democracy of Israel resorting to endless hacker attacks and online smear campaigns against web sites and authors whose only "crime" is to not go along with Israel's agenda or of refusing to bury embarrassing scandals.

These phrases, "hate speech" and "anti-Semite", are well-worn devices to shut up a critic of Israel without having to answer the criticisms. Indeed they have been used so much that they have become red warning flags that the person using those phrases has something to hide and needs to shut down the discussion by any means possible. By screaming "hate speech" or "anti-Semite", Israel's supporters hope to shut down the debate without actually examining the issues involved.

The idea of someone spying on a nation's citizens is sinister to say the least. Why is it not reasonable to be prejudiced against those who pry into our government, then use the information to coerce that government into actions contrary to the good of our own people? All civilized people should denounce that type of behaviour. It matters not if they are Russian, British, Canadian, American or whatever. It's a perfectly normal response to this crime.

Hate gets a bum rap. In our politically correct society we are taught that it's bad to hate at all, but I disagree. Hate can be a good thing. There are lots of things I hate and I am not ashamed to admit it. I hate liars. I hate thieves. I hate drug dealers. I hate corrupt politicians. I hate child molesters, especially those hiding their crimes behind the church. These are hates that are good for the people to have. Maybe if more people allowed themselves to hate liars, thieves, druggies, and the corrupt, our nation wouldn't be in the mess it's in. Think about that for a while. Hate can be good. Hate could actually save our country.

I hate those who presume to decide for us what we can and cannot see, hear, or read. I am firmly opposed to and have openly defied efforts by our own government to withhold from the people information the people need to make good decisions with. When the Israeli lobby coerces Fox News to erase the story about Israel's spy ring, should I be less outraged at the concealment simply because the censors are Israeli? To NOT speak out about a crime because the perpetrators are Israeli is racist. Because this is EXACTLY what we are dealing with. Crimes. Espionage. Illegal wiretaps. Interference with investigations. Under the definitions in the USA Patriot bill, the organized campaign by AIPAC and others to force Fox News to drop the espionage story is itself, technically an act of terror.

To those who insist that the Israeli spy scandal should be ignored because it makes all of the Jewish people look bad, I ask if we should ignore the Sikh terrorists and Asian gangs operating freely in Canada and elsewhere because it makes their respective races look bad?

Speaking of racism, the ideal held forth in the American Constitution and Declaration of Independence is that no one race is superior to others; that no one race should rule by virtue of being a specific race. A civil war was fought partly on that principle, and while the United States has not always lived up to that ideal, it has never been surrendered as a goal.

So, when Arial Sharon openly bragged on October 3rd that, "We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it", why shouldn't anyone find this statement highly objectionable, and anti-American? Why should a reasonable citizen of this nation not wonder to what extent Sharon was speaking the truth, especially in light of the manner in which Fox News was forced to erase the Carl Cameron stories?

In the wake of the exposure of this latest spy scandal, the government of Israel might have expressed some public regret or shame over treating its purported friend, from whom it gets more foreign aid than is given to the entire continent of Africa, in such a shameful manner. Instead what we have seen is censorship of the American news by a foreign power, apparently with the permission of a compromised or complicit US Government, and the shrill cries of "hate speech" and "anti-Semite" hurled at anyone who dared presume to notice or comment on what Israel has been caught doing.

If you want to know why Israel is so much in the news it isn't because of "hate" and it isn't because of "anti-Semitism", it's because foreign owned companies were caught bugging the phone system (including that of the White House) and foreign citizens have been arrested as part of the largest spy ring ever found in the United States and in the since-censored news story, the US Government admits to the existence of evidence linking those arrested spies to 9-11. That is NEWS, no matter what nationality is involved.

The good side to the Fox News incident is that for the first time, Americans got a good look at just how much power and influence over what we see and hear is being exercised. It doesn't even matter who did it; that it was done at all is the lesson for our time. In recent weeks, the same government that goes after kids for pirating music turned a totally blind eye to the massive hacking campaign directed at web sites critical of the official 9-11 story. People need to pay attention to that as well.

It is not "hate" to point out facts the American people should be paying attention to, especially on the threshold to what might turn out to be a world war started by deception.

It is not "hate" to point out that CNN followed Fox News' example by erasing their story about the 2 hour advance warning of the World Trade Towers attacks received by employees of Odigo, one of the companies implicated in the espionage case.

It is not hate to ask what really happened to USS Liberty.

It is not hate to ask if the Lavon Affair was repeated at the World Trade Center.

The good news is that Israel's supporters have screamed "hate speech" and "anti-Semite" so much that the phrases have lost their shock value, which means they have lost their value to silence.

As much as many attempt to suppress it, the truth always has a way of getting out. The truth in this matter is that the accusation of "hate speech" is only used by those who have something to hide.

New World Order

Historical events of the past can differ, depending on where they come from and whose ox is being gored.

What I see today are the American and Canadian governments, both of whom are corrupt to the core, backing the Zionist movement.

I, for one, will not be patriotic to my own government or any other political party or offshoot whose belief is that violence and terror are essential for peace and prosperity, and that the death of soldiers and innocent civilians is merely collateral damage.

Instead of taking sides, better to unite with the common belief that we're all falling under the heavy hand of (in George Bush's words) 'The New World Order'.

The Truth About Anti-Semitism

What is Anti-Semitism? Is it what the media in the West, which is heavily influenced by the Zionists, has determined, that is anyone who disagree with the Jews is considered anti-Semitic? What does Semitism refer to?

Most of society doesn't actually know what a "Semite" is as this simply parrot the propaganda they're indoctrinated with by governments and their social engineering agendas.

In Western civilization, anti-semitism has been defined as a "strong dislike or cruel and unfair treatment of Jewish people".

In reality, the word Semite originally refers to a people who descended from Shem, one of the sons of Noah. The present day Arabs and some Jews are their descendants. These peoples are grouped under the classing Semitic peoples, chiefly because among others, the languages Hebrew and Arabic were found to be related, deriving from a common language group.

The Arabs, be they Muslims or Christians, are Semites. Ironically, hatred directed against them is rarely labeled anti-semitism or considered a crime of hate. On the contrary, ignorant and sometimes scheming people use the term to describe genuine Semites, such as the Palestinians. The Western media is a prime propagator of such a ruse.

There is strong evidence to suggest that many present-day Jews, particularly "Ashkenazi Jews", are ethnically not Semitic, or only fractionally Semitic. Their ethnicity is primarily Eastern European, while they have maintained merely the cultural shell of their Semitic roots. This naturally does not hold true for Iraqi, Moroccan, and Yemeni Jews, among other small pockets of truly Semitic Jews.

The Zionist propaganda machine uses anti-semitism as a tool to instantly dismiss and cast a cloud of incredibility over its opponents. It is a clever ploy to counter all criticism of Israel’s unjust policies. Few educated people are aware of the Israeli government's gross infractions of the Geneva Convention, as it carries on its increasingly brutal ethnic cleansing of the native Palestinians in favor of the "racially superior" Jewish settlers. Israeli is an apartheid state by definition.

If a Muslim is accused of anti-semitism for his or her criticism of Zionism, he or she should remind their accusers that Muhammad was as purely Semitic as is humanly possible, and there is none that is more highly revered by Muslims than him. An Arab Muslim should simply say, "Hey, I'm Semitic."

That being said, can a Jew and a citizen of Israel be anti-semitic? The answer according to the Zionists definition is yes. Zionists use the term anti-semitic to smear all those who criticize the unjust policies of the Zionists state, be they Jew or Gentile. Many Jews are in fact opposed to Zionism and the existence of the Zionist political state.

The Debt We Owe to Deborah Lipstadt

Deborah Lipstadt has written a very important commentary on Jimmy Carter and his book on the Palestinians. Lipstadt, a woman who until now has been famous only for having all of David Irving’s money, expressly makes the connection between Israeli treatment of the Palestinians and what was done to the Jewish people in the 1930’s and 1940’s. This argument usually hides in the weeds.

It is the real basis behind all defenses of Israeli actions against the Palestinians, as well as many of the peculiarities of Israeli exceptionalism, such as Israel’s unique ability to shelter international gangsters on the basis that they are Jews, or Israel’s unique right to make peremptory attacks against other countries on the basis that there might be a possible threat against the state of the Jewish people. This doctrine has now been extended, in the case of Iran, to allow for peremptory attacks even when there is no threat against the Jewish people.

In Lipstadt’s view, which is the view shared by all Jewish defenders of Israel, Carter is wrong for failing to emphasize the Holocaust in a book about what Israel is doing to the Palestinians today. This lack of logic from Lipstadt would be the stuff of comedy if it did not form the basis for all the atrocities that Israel commits.

Most apologists for Israel are too smart to put it in so many words, so we owe a bid debt of gratitude to Lipstadt for her idiocy in denouncing Carter. In fact, I think many people sympathetic to Israel don’t really realize the basis for the chip on Israel’s shoulder as they can’t bring themselves to believe that the basis could be something that is so insane.

The bigger picture is that many Jews feel that the Holocaust gives Jews, and by extension the Jewish state, a permanent ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ card. The world stood by and let horrible things happen to the Jews, so the Jews have a unique right to obtain retribution in whatever way they see fit. One of the main ways they have seen fit to obtain justice is to grab themselves a country. No non-Jew has the moral right to complain about it, as every non-Jew inherits the guilt for the Holocaust.

Thus, Jimmy Carter has no right to criticize the Jewish state for what it is doing to the Palestinians. Despite the fact the Palestinians had nothing to do with the Holocaust (in fact hardly anyone alive today had anything to do with the Holocaust), they also have no moral right to criticize what is being done to them. This is the kind of reasoning which makes sense to young children, and many criminals (“I have a right to rob banks because I had a sad childhood’), but doesn’t make any sense to the rest of us.

Lipstadt's reasoning is that nobody but the Jews are entitled to write propaganda advocating an attack on innocent civilians living in a country that poses no threat to Israel. Why? Because of the Holocaust!

economy, accounting for 60 per cent of its income. Critics say the country is turning into a

state officials. Strict societal codes, invoked in the name of tradition and religion, are used

FACT #6: ELECTED AFGHAN WOMAN FACES ONGOING DEATH THREATS FOR

SPEAKING OUT AGAINST WARLORDS AND DRUG LORDS IN CURRENT

"As a new parliament opens in the Afghan capital, ... all eyes are on Malalai Joya, a 27-

year-old woman, who has emerged as a fearless critic of the warlords that control the

country. In 2003, Joya, then a women's literacy and health worker, had stood up at a

public meeting to discuss the new constitution and denounced the factional leaders as

'criminals' who should be taken to the world court. Her speech earned her powerful enemies. Despite her immense popularity, which led to her winning the September election

from the border province of Farah on her own steam, she rarely travels alone. She

employs at least 12 security guards -- there have been at least four assassination attempts

-- and is always seen in public wearing a burqa (veil that covers the body and face from

FACT #7: SINCE THE U.S.-LED WAR BEGAN, AFGHANISTAN HAS BECOME

INCREASINGLY DEPENDENT ON OPIUM POPPIES AND HEROIN FOR ITS

"The hardline Taliban regime, which ruled Afghanistan until 2001, greatly reduced opium

poppy cultivation. However, under the rule of the new democratically elected president,

Hamid Karzai, opium production is approaching record highs, with poppies now being

"Afghanistan has re-emerged since the U.S.-led war as the world's leading source country

for opium and heroin — rapidly returning to levels of the 1990s, when it produced about 70

Friday, said a half-million people are involved in Afghanistan's trafficking chain and

estimated an annual income at $25 billion, despite a ban on opium production put in place

unless the narcotrafficking problem is addressed," says Ursula Müller, political counselor at

Müller, who has been actively involved in rebuilding Afghanistan since the US toppled the

Taliban in late 2001. ... But the opium trade is deeply rooted in Afghan society. Many

regional warlords and opponents of the Taliban are now top officials in the Karzai

government. Müller also stated, "one of the most complicated - and delicate - tasks is to get corrupt officials to turn away from the drug trade as a source of personal income."

FACT #8: U.S. AND COALITION FORCES ARE USING EXCESSIVE FORCE AND

ARBITRARY DETENTION IN AFGHANISTAN

U.S.-based Human Rights Watch, which recommended "additional troops" in Afghanistan

in July 2003, admits the following about conditions in 2005:

"U.S. and coalition forces active in Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom since

November 2001, continue to arbitrarily detain civilians and use excessive force during

arrests of non-combatants. Ordinary civilians arrested in military operations are unable to

challenge the legal basis for their detention or obtain hearings before an adjudicative body.

They have no access to legal counsel. Generally, the United States does not comply with

legal standards applicable to its operations in Afghanistan, including the Geneva

Conventions and other applicable standards of international human rights law. At least six

detainees in U.S. custody in Afghanistan have been killed since 2002. U.S. Department of

Defense documents show that five of the six deaths were homicides."

"From 2002 to 2004, Human Rights Watch estimates that at least one thousand Afghans

and other nationals have been arrested and detained by U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan. There are numerous reports that U.S. forces have used excessive or indiscriminate force

when conducting arrests in residential areas in Afghanistan. As shown in this report, U.S.

military forces have repeatedly used deadly force from helicopter gunships and small and

heavy arms fire, including undirected suppressing fire, during what are essentially law enforcement operations to arrest persons in uncontested locales. The use of these tactics

has resulted in avoidable civilian deaths and injuries, and in individual cases may amount

to violations of international humanitarian law. Human Rights Watch has also documented

that Afghan soldiers deployed alongside U.S. forces have beaten and otherwise mistreated

people during arrest operations and looted homes or seized the land of those being

FACT #10: U.S. TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY SPENT NEARLY FOUR YEARS ASSESSING AFGHANISTAN'S OIL AND GAS RESERVES AND FOUND MORE THAN EXPECTED IN 2006

"Two geological basins in northern Afghanistan hold 18 times the oil and triple the natural

gas resources previously thought, scientists said Tuesday as part of a U.S. assessment

aimed at enticing energy development in the war-torn country. Nearly 1.6 billion barrels of

oil, mostly in the Afghan-Tajik Basin, and about 15.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas,

mainly in the Amu Darya Basin, could be tapped, said the U.S. Geological Survey and

Afghanistan's Ministry of Mines and Industry. The $2-million US assessment, paid for by

the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, was nearly four years in the making, said Daniel

Stein, the agency's regional director for Europe and Eurasia. The total area assessed was

only about one-sixth of the two basins' 518,000 square kilometres that lie within

White House Holiday Greeting

Last Christmas, you may remember, Barbara Walters got all up in arms because she thought President George Bush had sent her a "religious" Christmas card -- when he should have displayed more political correctness with a typical "Holiday" greeting.

Never mind that the expression is hollow, meaningless and disrespectful of a historically celebrated tradition. Walters thinks the majority should bend over backwards to a perceived minority who might somehow be offended by a customary and established observance.

Except for the irrelevant "Holiday Tree" in the White House window, there's nothing else that embodies the spirit of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, or would give cause for celebration.

If you witnessed Bush on his recent trip to Israel literally holding hands with the Zionist leaders while grasping the Talmud, it's clearly evident his "God" is not the entity the majority of the world reveres.

Since Bushitler is also a self proclaimed Skull & Bones clansman, the Saviour he worships is more likely represented by a dark, demonic deity.

The Myth of Anti-Semitism

Zionism certainly differs from that of being Jewish as it's basically a political movement as opposed to a faith or race of people. I also have contention with the way the term "anti-semitism" is continually utilized to stifle any negative comment against Israeli government foreign policy. Certainly, both sides in this issue can be faulted for past transgressions but as you eluded to, one has to wonder why the US and Canadian governments clearly support Israel's position. When the Palestinians fight back, it is an act of terrorism but when Israel retaliates, it's considered a "measured response". Sound familiar?

Anti-semitism is also a rather spurious claim because many other ancient and modern races, including some Muslim groups as well as Anglo-Saxons, were descended from Shem (one of Noah's three sons in the Bible) and therefore could rightfully hold claim to being "Semitic". Conversely, not all Jewish ancestry can be traced back to Shem, but to the other sons Ham and Japheth.

It's clear that the neo-cons that dominate the Bush administration are the most rabid supporters of the creation of a Greater Israel along with the confinment of the Palestinians in isolated ghettos along the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Israel’s takeover of land it has occupied for nearly 40 years is in breach of international law and in defiance of countless United Nations resolutions and is even being denounced by several Jewish groups, including the following two from Canada and the US respectively:

We, Jews of Conscience, demand that the U.S. government:

1. Require Israel to stop its brutal siege on Gaza and on Lebanon and call for an unconditional cease fire.

2. Require Israel to stop the expansion of the Israeli Wall of Separation, dismantle the completed sections, and completely withdraw from Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

3. Support the United Nations resolutions demanding that Israel uphold international law and support the sanctions against Israel necessary to enforce these resolutions.

4. End military and economic aid to Israel.

5. Support reparations for the Palestinian and Lebanese people for the death and destruction they have suffered and for aid towards the rebuilding of their countries.

Canada's Managed Media

CanWest’s owners, Winnipeg’s Asper family, which made its fortune in the television business, appear to consider their newspapers not only as profit centers and promotional vehicles for their television network but also as private, personal pulpits from which to express their views.

The Aspers support the federal Liberal Party. They're pro-Israel. They think rich people like themselves deserve tax breaks. They support privatizing healthcare delivery. And they believe their newspapers...should agree with them.

"I think that they could have gotten away with the ‘national editorials’ policy," Kimber told the Toronto Star (1/12/02). "But it’s clear now that what they really wanted to do was stifle other people's opinions."

Stephanie Domet, another freelance columnist for the Halifax Sunday Daily News, resigned a few days later after writing a column in support of Kimber for the Coast, a Halifax weekly, that was later posted on the CBC’s website (1/7/02).

Four reporters at CanWest’s Regina Leader Post were suspended for five days in early March, for talking to outside media, and another six were given letters of reprimand after they withdrew their bylines in protest over an incident of censorship at the newspaper. Management at the Leader Post had censored a story by reporter Michelle Lang about a speech critical of CanWest by the Toronto Star’s Haroon Siddiqui.

In March, the International Federation of Journalists accused CanWest of corporate censorship and victimizing journalists who are trying to defend professional standards. "If this had happened in Eastern Europe 15 years ago there would have been widespread protests from media owners and journalists' groups," the IFJ said in a press release March 14. "The issues today are no different--the fight for editorial freedom and protection from censorship."

In 1991, after acquiring a 20 percent stake in New Zealand's TV3, Izzy Asper gathered 200 employees of the station in the cafeteria and astounded them by asking a journalist, "You. What business do you think you're in?"

The journalist replied that "the business we're in is to make sure our audience gets the most carefully researched news and information possible." Asper asked the same questions of the drama and entertainment departments and got similar answers.

"You're all wrong," he told them. "You're in the business of selling soap."

Who was the First Jew?

We know that Saul was the first king of Israel and that John was the first man called Baptist, but who was the first Jew? Neither Adam, Seth or Noah are called Jew. Nor were Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. Moses was not called a Jew and neither were Saul, David or Solomon called Jew. In fact you will not find the word Jew in the first eleven books of the Bible. The first time Jews are mentioned in the Bible, is in II Kings 16:6 (and then only in translations revised in the eighteenth century) where we find Israel was at war with the Jews and drave the Jews from Elath. Isn't it interesting that we can read over five hundred pages of the Bible before we find a Jew anywhere, yet those who call themselves Jew today claim the first five books of the bible and call it their Torah.

Isn't it curious that those who claim to have written the first five books of the Bible and call themselves Jew, can't find the word Jew written anywhere in the book they call their own bible, and claim to have written? Jesus Christ tells John in Revelation 2:9 "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are the SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN". We know that God changed the name of Abram to Abraham in Genesis 17:5, and that He changed the name of Jacob to Israel in Genesis 32:28, but nowhere in the Bible do we find where God changed the name of Israel to Jew! There is therefore no authority by which those who say they are Jews can claim to be Israel!

By the time of Jesus the word Edom or Edomite had been translated by Greek and Latin into Ioudaios and Iudaeus meaning a Judean or person living in Judea. The original King James version of the Bible, 1611, translated Idumaean-Judean into Iewes. It wasn't until the revised editions of the King James Bible, that the word Jew appeared. The word Jew does not mean Israel or Israelite! We must conclude therefore that the first "Jews" were Canaanite-Edomite-Hittite. It is certain, according to the Bible, that Jews are not Israel.

When I was contacted about being interviewed for Richard Littlejohn's The War on Britain's Jews I had, to put it mildly, some doubts. Despite the reassuring words of producer Anna Ewart-James, it was clear that any program fronted by Littlejohn would have a set agenda. This was no balanced documentary.

So did the program live up to my worst fears? Yes. Do I regret being interviewed? No.

Firstly Channel 4 deserve to be heavily criticized for this program. At least the BBC does bias subtly; with Littlejohn it's laid on in spades. The bias throughout the program was unremitting and at times tedious. And that is why Littlejohn's program will only fool the gullible.

The message was quite simple. Anti-semitism is on the increase and it's mainly the fault of these nasty Muslims and those dupes on the left who oppose Israel. Hezbollah are apparently one of the most anti-semitic groups in the world. (Actually it's their opponents, the Christian Phalange, who were responsible for attacks on Beirut's Jewish community, not Muslim groups, and it was the Palestinian guerrilla group, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who defended the Lebanese Jewish community in the civil war.)

If Channel 4 was seriously concerned about anti-semitism then the last person to present it would have been Richard Littlejohn. This is the same person who said of the Rwandan genocide: "Does anyone really give a monkey's about what happens in Rwanda? If the Mbongo tribe wants to wipe out the Mbingo tribe then as far as I am concerned that is entirely a matter for them" - which is a direct take from the late Alan Clark's infamous remark about "bongo bongo land".

He has also called the Palestinians "the pikeys of the Middle East" and suggested that it was time to "wring [their] necks". "Pikey" is a racist reference to Gypsies, one of Littlejohn's pet hates.

The main thrust of the program was the alleged increase in anti-semitism. Yet even the statistics used by the All-Party Parliamentary Committee on Anti-semitism show (paragraph 29, page 14) that there was a 14% decline in anti-semitic incidents from 2004 to 2005.

What made Littlejohn's concern about anti-semitism so grating is that he has never hesitated to demonize asylum seekers as benefit scroungers, malingerers and fakers, using some of the crudest racial stereotypes.

He is someone who delights in pillorying different minorities, and he looked startled when I held up a copy of the Daily Mail from August 20, 1938, which proclaimed that "The way stateless Jews from Germany are pouring in from every port of this country is becoming an outrage: the number of aliens entering the country through back door - a problem to which the Daily Mail has repeatedly pointed"

The truth is that when Jews were really the targets of anti-semitism, the Richard Littlejohns of the day were vehement in attacking them. And the paper he writes for, the Daily Mail, was an ardent enthusiast for Hitler and Oswald Moseley. What it says about Muslims today was then directed at Jews.

For Littlejohn anti-Zionism equals anti-semitism. Why? Because the "new anti-semitism" means opposition to the Israeli state. If you oppose a state where, in an opinion poll, 75% of Jews don't want to live next to an Arab, why is that anti-semitic?

Every anti-semitic act is to be condemned. Likewise all forms of racism, but the programme generalized from a few anti-semitic attacks. And pretending that Muslims, who are the primary victims of racism in our society, are the main perpetrators, is to stand the truth on its head. No group has been more assiduous in feeding this racism than the pro-Israel lobby. Muslims are seen as backward and reactionary, rather than as people whose lands have been colonized.

Of course political Islam is reactionary but who was it who supported the Mujahideen in Afghanistan and helped create the Taliban and al-Qaeda but the United States? And wasn't it Israel's secret service, Shin Bet, in their efforts to undermine secular nationalism who helped create Hamas? Inconvenient facts are easily forgotten. But what is called Muslim anti-semitism is in reality a pale reflection of European anti-semitism, lacking its social roots, and borrowing its ideas without ever understanding them. As Marx said about feudal socialism, it is "half lamentation, half lampoon, half echo of the past, half menace of the future ... always ludicrous in its effect, through total incapacity to comprehend the march of modern history."

But what Littlejohn failed to comprehend was that if it is wrong for anti-semites to associate Jews with Israel's war crimes against the Palestinians, then it is equally wrong for the leaders of Zionism and the Israeli state to proclaim that Israel's war against Lebanon was waged in the name of Jews throughout the world. The fact is that if some people misguidedly attribute Israel's crimes to Jews, one of the reasons for so doing is that Israel and its apologists claim that it acts on behalf of world Jewry.
